Message is that the modification required to use them will result in much higher stress concentrations at the rod journal fillet, which *may* result in crank failure later on down the road due to fatigue.

The stock Nissan crank has rolled inverted fillets, which adds residual compressive stresses to the rod journal for added strength. The modifications needed to use this bearing require that the inverted fillet be cut away. the wider the bearing, the tighter the fillet radius must become for bearing clearance. The tighter the fillet radius, the weaker the crank
